Your Mates Bowls Pub is located in the Noosa Hinterland town of Cooroy. The sibling of the original Your Mates Brewhouse in Warana, this old Bowlo has been revamped in true Your Mates fashion. It offers a laid-back and casual atmosphere, great food and beer, and fun and entertainment for the whole tribe.

Family-friendly is an understatement at Your Mates Bowls Pub. Parents can enjoy some of their famous brews in the outdoor beer garden while the kids play in the outdoor playground. Or maybe you’re up for some friendly competition on the bowls green. Along with the lawn games and other entertainment, it’s pretty much guaranteed that there will never be a dull moment.

One of the big drawcards of Your Mates Bowls Pub is the outdoor beer garden, which includes a children’s playground. With plenty of tables and seating within the beer garden, you can keep an eye on the kids while you eat and drink.

The playground is a real beauty. It features a soft synthetic turf surface, which is great for small children and toddlers. The playground activities include climbing nets and tunnels, a slide, and other games and activities. There is also a giant Connect Four game, so there is plenty of entertainment to keep the kids busy.

In our experience, the worse you are at it, the more fun you seem to have. A good thing to note is that there are no age restrictions, so the little kids are more than welcome to join in on the fun.

If barefoot bowls is not your thing, you need not worry, as Your Mates Bowls Pub has plenty of other games and activities for the family to enjoy. The outdoor entertainment is never-ending, and families can enjoy some classic Aussie pub games, including giant Jenga and cornhole.

The entertainment doesn’t stop there, either. Inside, Your Mates Bowls Pub offers pool tables and TV screens showing live sports. It’s a great setup for those who want to catch their favourite team play while enjoying the laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere that the pub has to offer.

Anyone who has visited the Your Mates Warana Brewhouse will tell you they do great food. And the Bowls Pub is no different! American-style pub food with an Aussie twist is the best way to describe it. It’s big, it’s hearty, and it’s delicious—the perfect type of food to enjoy with a few of their famous craft beers. Their menu also includes a few lighter salad options as well some smaller starter type plates.

Main meals are priced in the $25-$30 range and include a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan-suitable menu options. There is quite a good variety of meal options, so you will be sure there is something for everyone. These include everything from ribs, a meatball sub, and burgers, including a vegan burger. Smaller plates include wings and calamari, to name a few.

Like most pubs, they offer weekly meal specials for most days. These include lunches and dinners, including a Mexican menu on Friday’s with $5 tacos and free barefoot bowls. Check out their website for more details.

Your Mates Kids menu (little mates)

The kids menu consists of three meals, all of which are $13 and come with a colouring book, bag and pencils. The meals include a beef and cheese slider, popcorn chicken, and meatball penne pasta. Unfortunately, the kid’s menu doesn’t have a gluten-free option. We actually had to buy an adult gluten-free meal for the kids to share. It wasn’t ideal, but it wasn’t the end of the world.

Your Mates Craft Beers

You can’t visit a Your Mates Pub without sampling their delicious craft brews. They have some of the most famous brews on the Sunshine Coast. These include pale ales, XPAs, lagers, and dark ales, all named after their mates.

If you’d like to sample some of their beers, you can purchase a tasting paddle of 4 x 200ml for $20.

Community spirit and monthly markets

One Friday each month, Your Mates Bowls Pub hosts a twilight market. The bowls greens are lined with 100+ racks of cool vintage clothing and vinyl records. It’s a really fun way for the local community to get together and enjoy the relaxed ambience of the pub and it’s facilities.
