A family-friendly RSL club in Caloundra, Sunshine Coast
Caloundra RSL is another great option for taking the kids for dinner on a weekend. The large, spacious restaurant within the RSL is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Serving up classic QLD club food with a modern twist, they are famous for their oven-baked schnitzels on the bone.
The big kicker, though, is their Cosmic Cave Kids Club, which is the largest fully supervised kids play area on the Sunshine Coast. The kid’s club is open every Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm to 10:30pm. What better way to spend your evening than a nice dinner with the family and then enjoy all the facilities that the club has to offer, whilst your kids have a ball? It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the live music and entertainment on offer every weekend.
Fully Supervised kid’s Club with soft play equipment
The Kid’s Club is free for members and is suitable for ages 3 to 17 years old. As we have already mentioned, it is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings. There are plenty of games and activities to entertain the kids, so it caters for everyone. You will find a huge variety of toys and games within the kid’s club. The creative kids can enjoy colouring and arts and crafts activities. There is also a place to relax and a big screen displaying kids’ movies and programs. For the older kids, there is a great variety of arcade games to keep them entertained for hours on end.
There are a few conditions regarding the kid’s club. The main ones are that it has a 3-hour limit, and parents are required to check in on their kids every hour. They also do not take bookings for the kid’s club. It might be worth contacting the club to find out more.

Caloundra RSL kids menu – For the kids to munch on
All kid’s meals at Caloundra RSL are $9.50 for members ($11.50 for non-members) and come with a juice popper and ice cream. There is nothing fancy about the options, with chicken nuggets or tenders, battered flathead and chips or a bolognese pasta.
Caloundra RSL also offers Kid’s Eat Free promotions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. However, the kid’s club is not open on these nights.
Other facilities and entertainment
There is plenty to see and do at the club on weekends while the kids are off your hands. Why not make the most of the free time, and enjoy a few drinks. There are multiple bars within the club, and live sports are in the sports bar. Or even have a cheeky flutter in the gaming room. Live music is being performed every weekend, so there’s a good chance you won’t even leave the dance floor.
