A Family friendly brewery on a Sunshine Coast hinterland farm
Terella Brewery is located in North Arm, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland (Between Yandina and Eumundi). It is open Thursday to Sunday and has great beers and great food, as well as an enormous play area, games and numerous other activities to entertain the kids. Terella really is the perfect day out for the whole family.
There is plenty of grassy space available, so you can throw down a picnic rug, or some camping chairs, or even put up a gazebo. Because of this you can settle in for the afternoon and enjoy the live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, from 1pm-4pm.
The kids entertainment and activities are endless
There is plenty of grassy area on the property for the kids to be kids. They can run free, as well as play ball games, or whatever takes their fancy. Terella has a boomerang box which contains balls and cricket sets, or you can bring your own. There is also a path on the property, so the kids can bring their bikes, as well as scooters and skateboards. If you fancy a game of giant jenga or connect four, then they also have these available.
Visit the Terella Brewing farm animals on weekends
On Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-11:30am there is an enclosed children’s farm, with Goats as well Sheep and guinea pigs and lots of other animals. There are even miniature horses! All the animals are rescues, surrenders or orphans and are super tame and friendly. Entry is $6 and kids under one are free.
What’s even more cool is that the taproom is open, so you can sit back and relax with a few brews whilst the kids enjoy themselves. Children under 8 require adult supervision, whilst inside the farmyard.
Terella brewing menu – local food trucks and in-house brewed beers
Obviously they have a great range of beers, including a Pale Ale, as well as an IPA and mango XPA. They also have lager, as well as a mid-strength option. For the non-beer drinkers, there is an alcoholic ginger beer, as well as hard lemonade. They are only licensed to sell their own product, so it is strictly no BYO.
For the food, each week they rotate local food trucks. Expect to see pizzas, as well as dumplings or hotdogs and tacos, to name a few.
