The Eatons Hill Hotel is a quick 30-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD in Eatons Hill. This local gem of a pub is buzzing with energy, is jam-packed with amazing facilities and serves awesome food. The atmosphere is always lively, which makes it a great place for families to enjoy a meal and drinks. The hotel is super family-friendly, with so many facilities for everyone to enjoy. This establishment has a total of 9 bars, a restaurant, and an unbelievable indoor kids’ playground. The pub also hosts regular family-friendly community events with live entertainment, activities and local food trucks. With all this and much more, the Eatons Hill Hotel is a go-to destination for local and visiting families alike.

Indoor playground Brisbane – Fun for all ages

Obviously, our highlight of Eatons Hill Hotel, which led us to visit it in the first place, is its fantastic kids’ playground. The playground is indoor, so it is also a perfect destination for those unfortunate rainy days. The play centre is located in the Bistro and is fully airconditioned, which is quite a unique and very cool feature, especially in the hotter summer months.

An impressive structure, the playground includes almost every activity you could imagine. It is jungle-themed and includes a maze of tunnels, slides, climbing nets and more. It definitely provided the kids with hours of fun, made our lives very easy, and enabled us to enjoy a peaceful meal. Pre-booking a table close to the playground is a good idea so you can keep an eye on the little ones.

In addition to the amazing playground, the Eatons Hill Hotel has an indoor games room. It includes PlayStation games, a kids’ theatre, and many other activities. With such a diverse range of games and activities, there is more than enough fun to be had for kids of all ages and interests. It’s very unlikely that they will get bored of this number of facilities any time soon.

Eatons Hill Hotel boasts a massive beer garden with plenty of outdoor seating. The dedicated outdoor bar and a QR code ordering system provide convenience, and guests can enjoy uninterrupted entertainment, including live music on the weekends.

A super cool feature that we really love is the Palm Springs-themed rooftop bar. It features palm trees, desert stone walls, cacti, and pretty festoon lighting. It’s probably not the most family-friendly part of the hotel, but it’s a very cool area to visit nonetheless. 

As you would expect from a family-friendly pub, the Eatons Hill Hotel has high chairs in all the dining areas and changing washroom tables. Parents with little toddlers, small children, and babies need not worry, as they cater to all parenting requirements.

So, you’re probably wondering what the chefs are serving. The Eatons Hill Hotel menu has a diverse range of meal options. They describe it as modern cuisine and good, wholesome food. The kitchen is open daily for lunch and dinner, with all-day weekend dining.

They also offer breakfast. However, this is served in the Green Room, which is located in the accommodation tower. Breakfast is also available to the public; you do not have to stay in the hotel.

Their breakfast includes familiar meals such as bacon and eggs, smashed avocado, and the like. Buttermilk pancakes are a sweet option, and seasonal fruit salad is a light, healthy meal. For beverages and refreshments, there are smoothies, tea, coffee, etc. They also offer vegan and gluten-free options. Depending on the menu items, you can expect to pay around $10-$25 per meal. 

Lunch and dinner menus

They have two lunch and dinner menus, which they refer to as their Main Act and Sideshow menus. The Main Act menu has everything from modern pub classics to fresh and tasty salads. It is quite diverse, and some notable examples are Steaks, Seafood, and Vegan poke bowls. Main meals are in the $20-$40 range, with some shared meals around the $60 mark. The usual dietary requirements are catered for, including Gluten-free and vegan.

The Sideshow Menu has all the signature pub items like wood fire baked pizza, burgers, share plates, hot chips, and calamari. You can expect to pay around $10-$30 per person on this menu. 

Eatons Hill Hotel kids’ menu

Eatons Hill Hotel’s kids’ menu has five meal options, all of which are $15. These meals include a cheeseburger, Chicken Nuggets, and Beer-Battered Barramundi, all served with chips. Vegetables can be added for an additional $3. The other two options are a Ham and Cheese Pizza or Fettuccini in Napoli sauce. We have a gluten-free child, and they were more than happy to accommodate her, even though they don’t have any gluten-free specific meals listed on the menu.
