The ultimate family (and dog) friendly pub

Located in the Sunshine Coast suburb of Currimundi, the Currimundi Hotel has everything you would expect in a great family-friendly pub. It boasts one of the best beer gardens you will find and is equipped with an outdoor playground for the kids. It is even dog-friendly, so it really is a great option for the whole family.

Open seven days, it serves a great mix of pub classics, local favourites, and delicious bites. Throw a few beers into the mix and live music on weekends, and it is the perfect location for a sunny Sunday session.

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a good beer garden, and the one at Currimundi is impressive. There is plenty of outside seating, including cool wine barrel tables and stools. The beautiful surrounding palm trees, festoon lighting, and vintage umbrellas give it a beautiful ambience.

Probably the biggest draw-card for families is the cool outdoor playground. It is also visible from the beer garden, so you can keep an eye on the kids from your table. The playground includes multiple slides, a climbing net, and other activities—plenty of fun to keep them occupied while you enjoy your meal and drinks.

Currimundi Hotel menu – Their Parmy game is strong

If schnitties and parmies are your jam, then you definitely need to pay this pub a visit. They are serving up your regular versions but also offer a few different variations with their Aussie and Mexican toppers. On Tuesday, for lunch and dinner, they are offering a “Project Schnitzel” special for $15 Schnitties and $19 Parmies.

The rest of the menu includes pub classics, local favourites, and delicious salads. Expect the usual burgers, steaks, and pasta, as well as light meals and snacks. Mains are well priced in the $20-$25 range, with some of the steaks climbing up over $40. Monday through Friday, they are offering a lunch special with mains for $16.

Currimundi Hotel kids menu and other fun activities

We recommend getting down there for Family Fridays. Located in the bistro beer garden, every Friday night, with live music, a free Zooper Dooper for the kids, as well as face painting and other games and activities.

The kid’s meals at Currimundi are all $8 and include chicken nuggets, pasta, and beer-battered fish and chips, to name a few. For a sweet treat, the kids have the choice between a frog in a cup (Freddo Frog in a cup of green jelly) or a kids’ Dixie Cup; both options are $2.

Currimundi Hotel dogs menu – For your fur baby to munch on

They are so dog-friendly at the Currimundi Hotel that they even have a menu for them. Treat your fur baby to a delicious Puppy Parmy, followed by a Puppy Cino and Doggy Doughnut for dessert. Sounds pretty bloody delicious, I must say!
