Indoor play area: CK’s Coffee Bar and Whole Foods

Sunshine Coast cafe with play area, healthy food and great coffee

On the Sunshine Coast, Ck’s Coffee Bar and Whole Foods is located within the Homemaker Centre in Maroochydore. Not only are they serving up great food and coffee, but they also have a kids’ play corner, which is perfect for small children and toddlers.

The kitchen is open from 8am to 2pm, 7 days, and serves up nutritious meals and caters for specific dietary requirements. CK prides itself on supplying the best fresh and organic produce that the Sunshine Coast has to offer whilst also supporting local growers and farmers.

An indoor play area for small children and toddlers

CK’s Coffee Bar is a fantastic option for parents with young children or toddlers. In the corner of the café, you will find a really cute little kids’ play area.

The play centre has loads of toys, including blocks, trucks, and dinosaurs. For the little bookworms, there is a fully stocked bookcase with plenty of reading material to choose from. The main feature is the little play kitchen and cooking utensils, which was a hit with our little 5-year-old daughter.

CK Cafe menu – Tasty and nutritious food options

CK’s food game is strong, and the menu includes options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, and paleo. They cover just about everything, and substantial meals range from $15-$25, and light snacks from $5-$8.

They also have a few different variations of eggs benedict to choose from. If you are just after something quick and easy, there is a bacon and egg roll or wrap with a hash brown, as well as a Bircher muesli.

If you’re really hungry, there is an endless array of more substantial meals to choose from. There are way too many to list, but expect to see plenty of egg and sourdough variations. Think delicious and fresh ingredients—smoked salmon or bacon, with avocado and feta, halloumi, mushrooms, spinach, and the list goes on. Seriously, yum! There are Acai bowls, big breakfasts, croissants, and so much more.

Other menu items include a range of omelettes, plenty of wraps and burger options, and even a few variations of French toast for something a little sweet.

CK Cafe kids menu – For the hungry little ones

There is a little more originality than what you would expect from your typical kids’ menu. I would also say that it is more nutritious than most other venues. There are four options to choose from, including chicken breast and a beef burger, both of which come with chips. There is also a scramble and bacon on white toast or French toast.

Other local cafes with play areas

For another nearby cafe with a play area, you might want to visit The Velo Project in Mooloolaba. They have some nice outside seating and a little kid’s cubby house to play in.
